Description
This is the evening view of the Foothill, Arizona which is a few miles from Yuma. It seems like we have many sunsets like this one.
The color is cause by: During evenings, or indeed some mornings, the sun is lower in the sky, this means that the light from it has to pass through a greater amount of atmosphere to reach the point that you are at. Due to this, it now filters out all parts of the light spectrum except for the red light, meaning the sky appears red. This is also why, on some rare occasions, the sky can appear green.

Such dramatics here Robert. It's one of those scenes that literally takes one's breath away. Nicely composed reality of the street and the fantasy of the sky. Well done.

Thanks Skip for the very nice review of the sunset. During the winter, we seem to get many sunsets like this in Yuma.
