This one is in our front yard in Yuma, Arizona. We have many people stopping by and admiring the flowers on the Lantana.
Lantana plants are woody, tropical shrubs with large, rough leaves topped with numerous heads of vividly colored flowers that are highly attractive to hummingbirds and butterflies. They are free-flowering, often blooming from spring right through to the first frost.
Lantana, pronounced lan-TAH-nuh, are treated as tender perennial plants in the South and as annuals or houseplants in northern climes, though care should be taken if you have pets that enjoy munching on your plants, as this one can make them ill. It enjoys well-drained soil and lots of sun. Once established, they are quite drought and salt tolerant, making them very popular in the desert southwest and along the southern coasts.

F/L, Robert, You have excellent detail in this lantana blossom. It reminds me of the ones that grew in my grandmother's garden in Airizona. The deep color tones are delightful.

Thanks Linda for the nice comment on the colors and this one seems like it blooms all winter. Thanks for the FL and so glad it brought back fond memories!!
