Description
A Springtime view of a saguaro forest on the Sonoran Desert near Cave Creek Arizona. The first light of the morning sure brighten up the cactus.
The Sonoran Desert, located in the southwest part of the United States and northern Mexico, is one of a vast and barren wasteland of rolling sand dunes and desolate landscapes. But nothing could be further from the truth, as the Sonoran Desert annually becomes a lush environment of amazing springtime color when the indigenous plants bloom after a winter of rain.

Saguaros on the hill, are a glorious sight indeed, Robert. I live year round in the Sonoran Desert, the region called Arizona Wetland, as the Sonoran Desert has been classified into 7 regions. Tucson being the largest city in that region. We have 5 seasons in the Arizona Wetland. Fall, winter, spring, dry summer, and wet summer. During the monsoon season the desert is very lush and green, barrel cactus blooming, and desert flora awakened by the rains. Springtime has all the wonderful wildflowers, other cactus that bloom only in spring. Lovely time of day to capture the Saguaro cactus beauty. Janet 💕
