Description
Took this image as the moon was rising over the foothills near Emmett, Idaho.
Supermoon occur when the moon reaches its full phase at or near the satellite's closest approach to Earth, and appears abnormally large and bright as a result. The Sept. 27 event is quite special; the last supermoon eclipse occurred in 1982, and the next won't take place until 2033.
The total lunar eclipse of Sept. 27, 2015 wowed sky-gazers around the world with a dazzling show as the full perigee moon crossed into Earth's shadow and took on a blood-red hue.

Amazing work, Robert. I love how you captured the eerie colors the supermoon paints the landscape in.

Thanks Suzanne for the very nice comment. I was trying to get something a little different of the eclipse!!
