Artist's Description

This is the view for the old Cunningham cabin.
Cunningham Cabin was the 160-acre homestead ranch of J. Pierce and Margaret Cunningham from the 1880s. The homestead is located just south of Spread Creek in the flatlands overlooking the Snake River between Moose Junction and Moran Junction. The ranch was primarily used for grazing cattle and cultivating hay. All that remains of the historic homesite are buck-and-rail fences, foundation stones, broken posts, and depressions. The existing cabin, built in the 1950s, is a replica of the original 1880s cabin. The half-mile, self-guiding trail circles the cabin, foundation, and surrounding grounds.

About Robert Bales

Robert Bales

Over our 50 years of marriage, we have always had an interest in photography and both of us enjoy taking the photos for this site. I have always used Cannon cameras and now I am using the 7D for most of the...
