Description
A Western kingbird looking for a butterfly.
Their breeding habitat is open areas in western North America. They make a sturdy cup nest in a tree or shrub, sometimes on top of a pole or other man-made structure. The name kingbird is derived from their "take-charge" behaviour. These birds aggressively defend their territory, even against much larger birds such as hawks

Robert!!! Love, love, love! I'm so envious! A Western Kingbird... aka Flycatcher.. I love to hear their call when summer rolls around. I never can see them, but I hear them and know they are on top of some tree in my back forest... I think I have the Olive Sided Flycatcher.. but I have never been privy to this gorgeous creature! Nice capture Robert! FV

Thanks Kym for the great review and little story! They migrate though Yuma, AZ during the last of March and the first of April. I really enjoy them going after the butterflies. Thanks for the f/v
